The Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking an academic multi-organ transplant surgeon at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, who has completed an multi-organ ASTS approved fellowship and who is ABS certified or eligible. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to deceased and living donor kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation, and multi-organ procurement. Experience and an interest in pediatric kidney transplantation is preferred, with the opportunity to become Director of our Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program.
This position includes an academic appointment with the Department of Surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine and will be expected to contribute to the broadly based educational mission of the Department of Surgery, including participation in Department of Surgery teaching conferences, rounds, and the education of students, residents and fellows. The ideal candidate will have interest in the pursuit of scholarly activities to include research, which is most favorably represented as extramural funding, local, national and international presentations, and regular publication of original manuscripts in peer reviewed medical journals.
This position will also have a contractual relationship with the Portland VA Medical Center.
