Join our nursing team at the Bass Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases, which is nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report and part of the NCI-designated Stanford Cancer Institute, to help children of all ages manage or overcome their conditions. We do this through a combination of exceptional care, groundbreaking research and state-of-the-art treatment. We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services: •A 15 bed inpatient Hematology and Oncology unit. Patients are admitted with a new diagnosis of any type of cancer and readmitted for ongoing therapy and treatment of side effects. •A 12 bed inpatient Stem Cell Transplant unit. Patients with metabolic and genetic disorders, in addition to patients with cancer, are admitted for allogeneic bone marrow, autologous bone marrow and stem cell transplants. •1 North Outpatient Center is an 8 bed unit where Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplant patients receive outpatient treatments such as transfusions, chemotherapy, IVIG and IV hydration. The Bass Center APU provides housing for our procedures utilizing general anesthesia as well as minimal to moderate sedation.
Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric HEM/ONC/SCT experience. Licensure/Certification: Current California RN License, Current AHA Healthcare Provider BCLS and PALS certification. APHON Chemo Provider preferred.
