UChicago Medicine Community Medical Group is recruiting a Transplant Hepatologist at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. UChicago Medicine has partnered with St. Vincent Hospital to develop and provide liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgical services. The selected candidate will be committed to the administrative and clinical care responsibilities, covering the area of hepatology and liver transplantation with responsibilities to cover hepatology and transplant outpatient clinic and inpatient consultations. This is a full-time position with a Clinical Associate academic appointment in the University of Chicago Department of Medicine and UChicago Medicine Transplantation Institute.
Prior to the start of employment, an individual must possess the following qualifications: (1) be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent) with additional certification in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology; (2) have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent training in Hepatology; (3) fulfill UNOS requirements for qualification as Primary Liver Transplant Physician under UNOS Bylaws "Appendix B, Attachment I" and (4) be able to obtain permanent and unrestricted Indiana and Illinois licensure. Preferred qualifications includes prior transplant administrative experience.
