Cardiac Intensivists
Penn State Health
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking full-time faculty as Intensivists for a 30-bed, state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Intensive Care Unit (HVICU). The HVICU Intensivist team provides medical management to patients with complex therapies and interventions for advanced cardiac and pulmonary failure, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), Total Artificial Heart (TAH), Cardiac Transplantation, Complex Cardiac and Vascular Surgery, and all subspecialties of cardiology practice. The HVICU Intensivists work in collaboration with a team of acute care nurse practitioners and anesthesiologists to provide around-the-clock care. Candidates will have completed residency and appropriate subspecialty training in any one of the following: Cardiothoracic Surgery, Pulmonology, Critical Care Medicine, Cardiology, Heart Failure and Transplant/Mechanical Circulatory Support. As faculty members employed by Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, candidates will be involved in clinical, teaching and research activities. Requirements:
