JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator LOCATION: Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center DEPARTMENT: Medical Surgical 4 Telemetry WORK SCHEDULE: Nights/Evenings 2 - 8's 11pm-7:30am & 2 - 12's 7pm-7:30am; Every 3rd weekend/1 major holiday per year WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE) - 80 Hours Bi-Weekly; 40W Overtime
JOB SUMMARY: Works independently and collaboratively with Operations Manager to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Works collaboratively with Operations Manager in recruitment and retention initiatives, Performance Evaluations, Performance Improvement Plans and disciplinary actions.
Responsible for ensuring the very best patient/family experience by optimizing all customer interaction. Foster a positive work environment through mutual support and cooperation and adheres to GHS and department specific Service Standards.
Directly accountable to the Operations Manager.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Demonstrates Patient focused approach and customer service skill set Demonstrates good organizational skills. Demonstrates proficiency in nursing skills specific to the department. Demonstrates good human relation skills, active listening, and conflict resolution. Demonstrates the ability to guide a team to successful outcomes Demonstrates effective decision making and problem-solving skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, one of which should be in specialty area. Current PA RN License BLS certification required ACLS and/or PALS required as appropriate for specialty areas Specialty certifications preferred BSN preferred Telemetry experience recommended
