Abdominal Organ Transplant Surgeon
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU)
The Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking an academic multi-organ transplant surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor, who has completed a multi-organ ASTS approved fellowship and who is ABS certified or eligible. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to deceased and living donor kidney transplantation (proficiency in live and deceased donor as well as recipient operations), pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, and multi-organ procurement. This position includes an academic appointment with the Department of Surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine and will be expected to contribute to the broad-based educational mission of the Department of Surgery, including participation in Department of Surgery teaching conferences, rounds, and the education of students, residents and fellows. The ideal candidate will have interest in the pursuit of scholarly activities to include research, which is most favorably represented by extramural funding, local, national and international presentations, and regular publication of original manuscripts in peer reviewed medical journals. This position will also have a contractual relationship with the Portland VA Medical Center. Patient care, on call duties, teaching, and research are part of the OHSU Mission that bridges collaborations and patient care with the PVAMC.
