Oversees inpatient and outpatient services in stress lab, echo, EKG, Cath lab and nuclear medicine both cardiac and imaging based for the Market Cardiovascular departments.
Oversees the Laboratory-based interventional radiology and interventional neurology procedures.
Develops and implements the strategic and operational direction of Cardiovascular Institute initiatives for the Market. Responsible for the triple aim of quality, cost and care coordination goals in conjunction with the Vice President (VP) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Cardiovascular Institute and campus senior leaders for the Market.
Promotes system thinking as a value in the organization. Considers the impact of CVI service line decisions on the healthcare organization as a whole.
Develops and implements guidelines for efficient and effective operation of Cardiology, Vascular, Pulmonary, Thoracic, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Neurology and Cardio-Thoracic surgery departments across the Market.
Conducts service line meetings and supports activities that foster physician and staff communication.
Ensures a routine maintenance program is followed to assure minimum downtime of equipment. Promotes safety precautions and takes steps to correct any safety related hazards.
Attends conferences/meetings/seminars to ensure awareness of current practices and integrates the information to all areas. Ensures that staff members promote consistent quality patient care following hospital and department policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or Business Administration
Five years’ experience in nursing and/or cardiology experience
Three years of healthcare management experience in a hospital setting
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Sciences
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current, valid State of Florida license in one of the following: Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Allied Health
Job Summary: The Market Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the regional strategic planning and operations for Cardiology, Vascular, Pulmonary, Thoracic, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Neurology, and Cardiothoracic surgery, structural heart, and cardiac rehab programs for the Market of the CFD-S region as part of the Cardiovascular Institute. Leadership responsibilities include responsible for fiscal management, operational performance, clinical performance and outcomes, as well as program development. Works closely with campus administration, Regional leadership and the Cardiovascular Institute Leadership of providers and operational management teams in developing strategic and operational plans to meet the community and medical staff needs and an unrivaled patient experience for our patients. The Market Director has responsibility for the triple aim of quality, cost and care coordination goals in conjunction with the Vice President (VP) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Cardiovascular Institute and market senior leaders.
